We are looking for a skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team and support the successful delivery of major infrastructure works.
Role Overview
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring contractual compliance, accurate cost control, and effective financial reporting. You will work closely with project teams to optimise value, manage risk, and support the successful delivery of works in line with NEC contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of allocated projects from procurement to final account.
* Administer NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4), including change management, Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and programme assessments.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
* Conduct valuations, measure works, and prepare interim applications for payment.
* Review subcontractor quotes, prepare procurement schedules, and administer subcontract orders.
* Assess subcontractor applications and certify payments.
* Lead cost reporting and financial performance reviews, including CVRs.
* Support risk management, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives.
* Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
* Assist with tendering, estimating, and commercial analysis where required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
Key Requirements
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
* Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES) - desirable but not essential.
