Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity. There is a vacancy on the Neonatal Transfer Service London for Senior Band 6 nurses with a minimum of 3 years tertiary (level 3) NICU experience to apply for positions on London’s only dedicated neonatal transfer service.
Join us to learn and develop your skills and knowledge toward becoming an experienced neonatal transport nurse, caring for a range of sick neonates who require transfer across the London area and beyond. This career path will help you develop your portfolio and experience working within a small team, stabilising and transferring some of the sickest babies across London and the wider counties. You will also become established on the single-clinician led High/low dependency transfer team.
Responsibilities
* Lead by example as an expert specialist neonatal nurse on the Neonatal Transfer Team for London and work as part of a team to facilitate neonatal transfers across London and the Southeast.
* Be part of a team comprising 3 Neonatal Consultants, specialist registrars/clinical fellows, Matron; PDN and experienced transport nurses, complemented by technicians from St John Ambulance Service.
* Participate in induction programmes and ride-out shifts with support. Rotations include dual and single clinician teams, days (including a twilight team), nights and weekends. Full and part-time options can be discussed.
* Take part in observation ride-outs to experience transport first, and explore secondment opportunities within the PCCU, NICU and the wider Children’s hospital.
