We are working with a growing and highly reputable facilities management contractor who are a genuinely fantastic company to work for, look after their staff well and have established and stable contracts nationwide. This role will be working on a static site in Thurrock.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
* Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to the laid‑down procedures.
* Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as necessary.
* Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
* Ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
* Although aligned to one site for PPM completion, attend other depots to carry out work when required.
* Attend training courses as and when necessary, by the company.
* Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
* Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laid‑down standards of quality are maintained.
* Assist teams when requested.
* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with business and client colleagues.
* Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
* Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct process.
* Maintain accurate time sheets.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
* City and Guilds 7671 17th/18th Edition
* Previous experience in building maintenance
* Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
* Respond to service call requests within agreed timescales
* Full driving licence and flexibility to travel when required for on‑call purposes
* Ideally have been a static engineer with experience in electrical or mechanical building maintenance
* Ideally worked on a depot/distribution site, although not essential
