Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to take full operational responsibility for a high-quality commercial building in a prime central London location. The successful candidate will ensure the building is managed to the highest standards of safety, service, and presentation, while delivering an exceptional experience for occupiers and visitors.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and service partners effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the building
Ensure the property is operated in compliance with all statutory, health & safety, and environmental requirements
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to occupiers
Maintain high standards of presentation across all common areas
Act as the Responsible Person for the building
Manage fire safety systems, risk assessments, and emergency procedures
Ensure all compliance documentation is up to date and auditable
Lead incident management and reporting where required
Appoint, manage, and review performance of all service contractors (M&E, cleaning, security, landscaping, etc.)
Manage service contracts, KPIs, and SLAs
Control budgets and approve invoices in line with agreed financial controls
Build strong relationships with occupiers and their representatives
Act as the primary point of contact for building-related matters
Coordinate occupier communications, including planned works and building updates
Support tenant fit-outs and moves in line with building procedures
Assist with preparation and management of service charge budgets
Monitor expenditure and identify cost efficiencies where possible
Prepare regular management reports for clients and stakeholders
Support sustainability initiatives and environmental targets
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and occupier experience
Keep up to date with industry best practice and legislative changes
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Building Manager or Senior Facilities Manager within a commercial office environment
Strong knowledge of building services, health & safety, and statutory compliance
Experience managing service charge budgets and contractors
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve
IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent health & safety qualification
