Service Care Legal are currently working on behalf of a leading provider in the affordable housing sector to recruit an experienced Senior Housing Solicitor. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded in-house legal team at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
Our client manages a substantial portfolio of housing stock across London and surrounding regions, delivering essential services to tens of thousands of residents. As a key member of the legal department, you’ll have the chance to influence legal service delivery and help shape the direction of the team.
Please note that this position requires office attendance 3 days per week.
The Role
We’re seeking a confident legal professional with a strong background in housing and leasehold law, and a passion for mentoring others. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a team of 5 Paralegals across the team
* Managing a caseload of housing management and leasehold disputes.
* Ensuring high-quality legal advice is delivered in line with organisational standards and performance indicators.
* Collaborating cross-functionally to support organisational goals and mitigate legal risks.
* Delivering legal training across internal teams to raise awareness and understanding of key legal topics.
The Person
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX).
* Minimum of 3 years’ PQE, ideally gained within social housing, local government, or an in-house RP legal team.
* Strong working knowledge of housing and leasehold law, litigation procedures, and case management.
* Demonstrable experience of supervising and developing junior legal staff.
