Job Title: Senior Legal Personnel Specialist (HR)

This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to join the legal HR department at a growing law firm. This individual will collaborate with Partners, Practice Group Leaders, and global Legal Personnel to deliver high-quality personnel/HR support throughout the lawyers life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary contact for lawyer onboarding.
* Coordinate relocations and lateral integrations; liaise with immigration advisors and relevant Business Professional teams as needed.
* Coach supervisors on feedback quality and performance expectations; track objectives and development plans.
* Support performance improvement plans and follow-up actions; escalate complex matters appropriately.
* Act as a trusted point of contact for lawyer queries and concerns, addressing employee relations issues promptly and professionally.
* Partner with Professional Development on training needs, CLE/CPD tracking, and development plans.
* Support leave of absence management, flexible working arrangements, and accommodations processes alongside wider team.
* Manage resignation and termination processes, including notifications, checklist completion, knowledge transfer, exit interviews, and final documentation.
* Support performance improvement plans and follow-up actions; escalate complex matters appropriately.
* Assist with providing written guidance for development and performance review meetings including talking points and individual briefings.
* Build strong relationships with Partners, Practice Group Managers, Recruiting, PD, Finance, Payroll, HR, IS and immigration and employment advisors to provide joined-up support.
About You
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar law firm environment is essential.
* Prior experience coordinating and advising stakeholders on performance review cycles.
* Strong experience of advising stakeholders and leading employee relations matters for lawyers is required.
* Must possess experience of coordinating visa applications and immigration record keeping.
* Strong stakeholder management and client service mindset; able to quickly build credibility with Partners and lawyers.
