The post holder will be part of the Community Mental Health Occupational Therapy provision that works as an integral part of the Recovery and Wellbeing Mental Health teams with sites in the Rayleigh and Canvey Island location. The post holder will be guided by senior OT team members in all aspects supporting the delivery of specific treatment interventions to those within the service on either an individual or group basis. You will have the opportunity to work with clients within their homes, within the community, remotely and at the team base.
As part of the team you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in mental health, and learn about specific approaches and management of certain conditions.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of specific treatment interventions to clients on an individual or group basis.
* Work with clients in their homes, within the community, remotely and at the team base.
* Develop skills and knowledge in mental health and specific approaches to managing conditions.
* Assist in working with individuals with a variety of mental health conditions to support recovery.
* Develop and implement strategies to manage wellbeing and encourage positive rehabilitation.
* Willing and able to work across a range of community sites and travel efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Professional references covering the last three years of employment history (business contact information required); personal or character references will not be accepted.
* Willingness to incur the cost of an initial DBS check, which will be deducted from the first salary.
* Proof of up to date COVID‑19 vaccinations for those required to work in a CQC registered care home.
* Acceptable to meet all NHS safety and safeguarding requirements, including robust safer recruitment checks.
* Ability to travel between sites and to work across multiple settings.
