A Steadman & Son is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of roofing and cladding profiles, supplying high quality cladding materials across the whole of the UK, offering total roofing and cladding solutions, in a wide range of insulated panels, single and twin skin systems and secondary steelwork including purlins, rails and eaves beams.
We are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative who will be able to manufacture products efficiently, of high quality and in a safe and timely manner.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Production Operative you will be required to operate machinery and produce and maintain high standards of product quality and carry out regular safety checks on machinery within the facility, as agreed with risk assessments and SOP’s. In addition, you will control and record departmental waste, and ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained, report all machinery defected issues promptly and work to agreed Health & Safety Regulations and standards, reporting any unsafe working practices.
The successful candidate will require:
1. To have good awareness of health and safety and a good attitude to work following procedures SOP’s and risk assessments.
2. Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
3. Self-motivation and self-discipline – able to work efficiently without supervision or guidance
4. Ability to learn new equipment and able to support others.
5. Experience of working in a factory environment.
