We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and empathetic care.
Duties
* Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring they are followed accurately and respectfully.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing.
* Help with meals/feeding where necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies.
* Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
Skills
* Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is advantageous.
* Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while demonstrating empathy and patience.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Requirements
* Holding an NVQ Level 2 or higher is health and social care is highly desirable
* You must have right to work in the UK without restrictions
* You must not require Sponsorship to allow you to perform this role
* Please note, we cannot offer a contract less than 22hrs per week. Unfortunately, if you are currently on a student visa (20hrs), we will be unable to process your application
