LED Electrical Design Engineer
to support a growing portfolio of projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and public sector environments. This is a hands-on technical role, offering the opportunity to work across the full design lifecycle on projects that drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and modernisation of existing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Deliver compliant, energy-efficient LED lighting designs across a range of sectors Conduct site surveys and engage directly with clients to understand project requirements Produce detailed electrical and lighting designs, including drawings and calculations Develop wiring schematics, load calculations, and circuit schedules Select appropriate products and ensure integration with existing electrical systems Identify non-compliances and define enabling works where required Prepare installation documentation and support delivery through to commissioning Provide technical assurance, including installation sign-off and certification review Collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery Requirements: Proven experience producing compliant LED electrical designs Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition) and BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting) Experience integrating LED upgrades into existing electrical systems Ability to identify risks, non-compliance issues, and technical solutions Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit Experience using lighting design software such as Dialux or Relux Solid understanding of relevant CIBSE lighting guidance Strong capability in producing detailed technical documentation and calculations Essential Criteria: Right to work in the UK Full UK driving licence (regional travel and site attendance required) Willingness to stay away from home when required to support project delivery Relevant qualifications and experience aligned to the role SER-IN
