About The Role
Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to join the School of Psychology, contributing to an exciting programme of research focused on child and adolescent mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with rich, large-scale longitudinal datasets and contribute to research with real-world impact and strong publication potential.
Responsibilities
* Undertake advanced quantitative analyses using large and complex datasets
* Contribute to the development of research questions and study design
* Lead and contribute to high-quality academic publications
* Present findings at conferences and academic events
* Collaborate with internal and external research partners
Qualifications
* A postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in a relevant discipline
* Experience conducting quantitative statistical analysis
* Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata or Mplus
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Experience working with longitudinal datasets, advanced statistical modelling techniques (e.g. structural equation modelling, growth curve modelling), or research involving developmental populations would be highly advantageous.
