Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Engineering (IFS) to lead one of the most critical technology transformations at the heart of HomeServe's operations.
The role will be based out of our Walsall office where we work in a hybrid, flexible way (2 days in office)
The salary is competitive and comes with £7000 cash/car allowance, 15% bonus, private medical and upto 6% matched pension.
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of Engineering to spearhead our implementation of the IFS ERP platform, bringing together architecture, infrastructure, data and integrations into a seamless solution that will support our business for the next decade and beyond.
This will be more than a delivery role, you will shape and own the technical vision, lead internal and external teams, and ensure that everything from performance to security is embedded in the DNA of the solution.

* Lead the technical architecture and end-to-end delivery of IFS Cloud across infrastructure, integrations, and data
* Act as the primary technical liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
* Design for scale, security, and sustainability
* Support DevOps enablement, deployment automation, and best practice governance
* Own the technical roadmap, ensuring solutions are future proof and aligned with business growth
* Guide, influence, and uplift teams in how we adopt IFS functionality
What you will bring;
* Proven experience leading IFS ERP implementations from a technical standpoint
* Deep understanding of IFS architecture, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure models
* Experience with Azure, hybrid cloud environments, and modern DevOps practices
* Strong stakeholder skills, you can explain the “how” and the “why” to business and technical audiences alike
* Leadership capability, comfortable in front of a whiteboard, a roadmap, or a risk log
* A calm, confident mindset that thrives under pressure and ambiguity
