Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Manager – Asset Development for Europe and APAC to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial development and sales management of our front-of-the-meter optimisation portfolio and pipeline. This role will also have a sales aspect, bringing new products to market (from pre-sales target identification to securing contracts) and supporting deals across Europe, with a particular focus on driving carbon and renewable certificate trading to new levels. This multi-faceted role requires a highly organized, delivery-focused operator who has a passion for finding and closing deals with a strong background in commercial management, project management, sales support, and financial analytics.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance the value and performance of our portfolio, especially renewable certificates and carbon trading.
2. Manage completion and submission of tender responses for asset optimization across Europe.
3. Project management of the Asset Development sales pipeline including front-of-the-meter optimization; SaaS; carbon and certificate trading; short-term market access; and EMS design and build.
4. Monitor asset performance, market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
5. Manage supplier operations for our registered assets.
6. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
7. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all asset development sales activities.
8. Support other sales teams as necessary, especially origination and our EV business, e.g. tender responses, market research, commercial analysis, export brokers, project valuations.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering energy, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Proven track record of success in adding value in a commercial role within the energy industry, sales experience is an advantage.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
