About the Role
You will lead the delivery of community safety activity across the council and with key partners, ensuring we meet our statutory responsibilities and respond effectively to local priorities. This includes developing and managing projects and services, commissioning and monitoring support provision, and leading partnership responses to complex community safety issues. The role covers a wide range of areas including anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, violence against women and girls, serious and organised crime, safeguarding and reducing reoffending. You will chair and contribute to multi-agency problem‑solving and case review meetings, identify funding opportunities, and contribute to reports, briefings and strategic assessments.
About You
* Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
* Experience of working in community safety and with knowledge of safeguarding
* Experience of managing projects or services and responding to complex or sensitive issues
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in partnership across organisations and with local communities
* Confident communicator, with experience of influencing, negotiating and chairing meetings
* Committed to inclusive, preventative and victim‑centred approaches
* Motivated by public service and focused on delivering positive outcomes for residents
