The Role: Year 5 Class Teacher (Full:Time, Two:Term Contract)
This is a full:time teaching role with full class teaching responsibility for our Year 5 class, covering a period of two terms (January : end of the academic year).
Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high:quality lessons across all subjects of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum, ensuring they meet the needs of all pupils and reflect our Catholic ethos.

Assessment: Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils, using this data to inform future planning and interventions.
*
Classroom Management: Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and effective learning.

Pastoral Care: Take responsibility for the pastoral welfare and development of all pupils in the class, acting as their primary point of contact.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the KS2 team, teaching assistants, and the wider school staff to contribute positively to the overall life and work of the school.

Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings and relevant professional development activities.
*
Communication: Maintain effective and positive communication with parents regarding pupil progress and well:being.
Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
*
Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (KS2), ideally Year 5.
*
A strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.

A thorough knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
