This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who leads by example and takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-presented facilities.As Team Leader, you'll manage a group of operatives responsible for cleaning accommodation blocks, maintaining grounds and buildings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You'll play an active role in daily operations, spending around 80% of your time working alongside your team.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Team Supervisor with day-to-day operationsLead and motivate your team, managing task allocation and performanceDeliver high standards in cleaning, maintenance, and waste reductionMonitor stock levels and manage supplies efficientlyCarry out general building and grounds maintenanceEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations (COSH/IOSH)Maintain accurate records using IT and paper-based systemsContribute flexibly to team success by supporting wider operational needsThe Ideal CandidateExperience in Facilities Management or leading teams in a similar environmentKnowledge of soft FM services, including housekeeping and grounds maintenanceStrong communication and leadership skillsBasic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office and databases)A proactive, solution-focused mindsetUnderstanding of Health & Safety standards (COSH/IOSH)A valid UK driving licence (essential)This is a meaningful opportunity to support a vital part of the UK's defence infrastructure.
