Morson Talent are working in partnership with a leading organisation in the UK nuclear industry to recruit a Cost Engineer on a permanent basis. This role is based at Sizewell B Power Station, supporting a key client's wide-reaching nuclear defueling and decommissioning project portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic project team at one of the UK's most critical energy facilities. Youll work as part of a large, site-based client-led team delivering robust cost control and financial oversight across a suite of complex engineering programmes.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cost Engineer, you will support the financial control and governance of a multi-project portfolio throughout the full project lifecycle. Your duties will include:
Providing cost management support across the assigned nuclear work programmes.
Monitoring, forecasting and controlling project costs in line with internal standards and client expectations.
Supporting month-end reporting, cost variance analysis and financial risk reviews.
Ensuring accurate alignment of cost data with project schedules and commercial structures.
Supporting SAP Finance and Project module use across relevant activities.
Performing earned value analysis, cost reconciliation, and variance identification.
Preparing reports and delivering updates to project stakeholders at all levels.
Working closely with planning and commercial teams to ensure data consistency and project alignment.
About You
Were seeking candidates who bring experience in highly regulated environments and a proactive, team-focused approach to project delivery.
HNC/HND qualified (preferably in a cost, engineering, or finance-related discipline), or equivalent industry experience.
Member of or working towards MACostE is desirable.
A broad understanding of the full project and programme lifecycle, particularly in engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
Experience working with tools such as Primavera (P6), SAP (Finance & Project modules), and earned value management systems.
Strong understanding of the inter-relationship between time, cost and commercial drivers in major infrastructure projects.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present cost information clearly and confidently to stakeholders.
