This is a pivotal leadership role focused on transformation, commercial strategy, and the transformation of a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo).
Currently a joint venture property company between a LATCo and local council, the Council is requiring expert leadership to manage transformation effectively while maintaining service continuity and stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic and operational transformation of a LATCo
* Oversee transformation programmes across the LATCo, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and community needs
* Provide commercial insight and leadership to optimise service delivery and value for money
* Engage with elected members, senior officers, and external partners to ensure a collaborative and transparent approach
* Ensure robust governance, risk management, and compliance throughout the transition process
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a senior leader with:
* Proven experience in leading complex organisational transformations within local government or public / private sector
* Direct involvement in transformation of a LATCo
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and political awareness
* Ability to lead with clarity, resilience, and a commitment to public service values (TUPE oversight experience also desired)
Terms
* Contract Type: Interim (minimum 6 months) with the option to then consider permanent
* Start Date: As soon as possible for handover
