Are you passionate about baking and creating nutritious food that fuels young minds? One of our welcoming secondary schools in Taunton is looking for a dedicated School Baker to join their catering team.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing fresh bread, cakes, pastries, and baked items daily for students and staff
* Following set menus and nutritional guidelines
* Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
* Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
* Managing stock levels and reporting shortages
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in baking or catering (school experience beneficial but not essential)
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply)
