About the Role
This is an important position responsible for ensuring KS2 runs smoothly and achieves excellent results. The school has a blend of experienced and newly qualified teachers who work hard to ensure every child makes sustained progress. The incoming Phase Leader will be supported with development and career progression opportunities and is expected to lead by example with a focus on helping others perform to their best.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Key Stage 2 phase (Years 5 or 6 as appropriate) to drive high-quality teaching and learning.
* Collaborate with staff to develop and implement a progressive curriculum and intervention strategies.
* Monitor pupil progress and set targets to ensure continued improvement across reading, writing and numeracy.
* Support and develop colleagues, modelling best practice and providing mentoring where needed.
* Contribute to school improvement plans and participate in professional development opportunities.
