About the Role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Security Vetting Coordinator to join our growing team in Derby.
What you'll be doing
 * Advise on documentation classification, storage, archive and disposal on Security Sensitive projects in line with Balfour Beatty’s IT Security and Data Retention Policies.
 * Advise on systems and data security for Security Sensitive projects.
 * Identify security risks and put in place suitable mitigations by project, feeding these into BBGE’s risk register.
 * Influence and support senior leadership teams by providing subject matter expertise and support.
 * Create and deliver security training and awareness.
 * Support in the onboarding of individuals working on Security Sensitive Projects.
 * Coordinate applications and liaise with the Security Vetting team for National Security Vetting according to Balfour Beatty Vetting Policy.
 * Provide advice and guidance for employees completing the National Security Vetting process.
 * Ensure that specific sites where Security Managers process National Security Vetting and BPSS applications comply with the Balfour Beatty Vetting Policy and assist where necessary.
 * Understanding of GDPR requirements for handling personal data.
 * Ensure information is stored in line with GDPR for personnel - employees/contractors.
 * Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and leadership to deliver Zero Harm.
 * Be willing to travel to sites.
Who we’re looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
 * Experience of operational security management including the identification and mitigation of risk.
 * Knowledge and understanding of personnel security vetting requirements and classified documentation management for the lifecycle of projects.
 * Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English.
 * Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office 365.
 * Management of own workload.
 * Experience of report writing, agenda setting and chairing meetings.
 * Planning, organising and delegating skills.
 * Cooperative with a ‘can do attitude.’
 * Understanding of Health & Safety at work regulations.

 * Security Cleared or willing and eligible to be Security Cleared (must hold minimum of SC).
