As a Specialist Practitioner, you will serve as a Care Coordinator for a specific caseload of patients presenting with complex behaviours and/or significant mental health needs. Your role includes delivering person‑centred, evidence‑based interventions to support children, their families and carers, and the multi‑disciplinary team. Regular clinical and peer supervision will support your professional development.
This is a full‑time, permanent position within the pan‑Dorset ID CAMHS service. The role involves working across two sites – Southbourne and Dorchester – with your primary base at Seascape, Southbourne. A valid driving licence and access to a car are required, as travel to patient homes and community settings is part of your duties. Flexible working arrangements may be available where service needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high‑quality person‑centred approach to care delivery that considers safety, privacy and dignity.
* Deliver specialist care and interventions, including assessments, treatments, and management of patients on a caseload as part of a wider team.
* Provide specialist advice to other agencies regarding management and care of patients.
* Devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.
* Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
* Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle for travel on Trust business.
* Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by the Trust). Applicants with an up‑to‑date DBS certificate may present this instead of a new check.
* Experience in delivering person‑centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
