Baker / Cook – Permanent Position
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (Must be a driver due to location)
£14 an hour
(Flexible hours & days)
We are pleased to be recruiting for an enthusiastic Baker/Cook to join the catering team at a popular visitor attraction in the Leatherhead area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for baking and preparing high-quality homemade dishes within a friendly and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce a full range of baked goods, including cakes, traybakes, cookies, and pastries using set recipes
* Prepare fresh meals such as pasta dishes, salads, seasonal soups, and other main menu items
* Maintain high standards across all food production, ensuring consistency and quality
* Follow excellent food safety and hygiene practices
* Monitor and report stock levels
* Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and aligned with weekly task lists and cleaning schedules
* Support the wider kitchen team with basic food preparation, cleaning duties, and dishwashing as required
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience in baking or cooking within a professional environment, or be able to demonstrate strong competency
* Hold a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate
* Be positive, reliable, and able to work well in a team
* Be organised and capable of meeting deadlines
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative working atmosphere
Working Hours & Benefits
* 5 days per week (However Flexible), daytime hours
* Flexible shift options available – may suit school-time hours
* Free lunch provided plus a paid lunch break
* 28 days holiday (pro rata)
* Permanent contract
