Product and Process Development Technician
Location: Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham, United Kingdom
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Type: Temporary to permanent
Working hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Job Description
Our client, a rapidly expanding food manufacturer committed to delivering high-quality products, is looking to expand their Product and Process Development team. This role involves laboratory work, pilot plant trials, and working with production equipment to bridge the gap between product concept and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
1. Develop new recipes and packaging formats, and improve existing ones.
2. Plan, execute, and supervise process trials in labs, pilot plants, or factories.
3. Transition processes from trial runs to large-scale production, maintaining quality standards.
4. Support new product development and process improvements with various equipment.
5. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and maintain records related to process development.
6. Ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with customer expectations.
7. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and production staff.
Candidate Profile
1. Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous.
2. Ability to work effectively in a factory environment.
3. Strong team collaboration skills.
4. Experience in planning experiments, trials, and production processes is a plus.
5. Problem-solving skills during product development.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
