An exciting opportunity for a full‑time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Gen Med Rehabilitation team at Clayponds Hospital, working with a skilled and friendly multi‑disciplinary team (MDT). As a Band 6 OT you will carry a clinical caseload and be an active member of the MDT.
You will work closely with Band 7 and Band 6 Occupational Therapists on Jasmin and Magnolia wards, ensuring high‑quality Occupational Therapy input for patients, and collaborate with Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians, Psychologists, Therapy Technicians, Nurses, Doctors and Pharmacists. The wards are part of the broader Intermediate Care team, with patients accessing a large gym and ADL rooms.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the clinical team, managing your own caseload, including assessment, implementing and evaluating treatment plans, and applying specialist skills for patients with varied and complex conditions.
* Provide clinical expertise in prioritisation and treatment of patients within your scope, supporting the objectives of Ealing Community Partners and meeting national guidelines.
* Primarily work on Jasmin and/or Magnolia Ward with the General Medical and Admission avoidance bed, and cover other neurological/general rehab wards as required.
* Ensure the service provision supports the objectives of the Trust.
* Train and supervise junior staff and support students on placement.
* Collaborate with the senior clinical team to develop a robust service delivery model, facilitating effective use of resources and implementing appropriate changes to meet current demand.
