Job Title: Experienced Chef
We are seeking an experienced Chef to work in a residential home offering nursing, dementia, and residential care for 30 older residents.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and prepare daily nutritious meals for residents.
2. Purchase fresh ingredients within budget constraints.
3. Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards.
4. Inspire and motivate the kitchen team.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering or equivalent.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene certification; willingness to obtain Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications.
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various techniques.
* Understanding of nutrition and menu development for dietary needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
* Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
