Key Worker / Youth Worker (Full-Time, 37.5 hours) Location: Redditch (Matchborough & Woodrow) Organisation: Your Ideas Youth & Community Project Hours: 37.5 hours per week (30 daytime 7.5 evening/weekend hours) Your Ideas supports children, young people and adults aged 0–35 through inclusive community clubs, alternative provision and youth projects across Redditch. We specialise in helping young people with lived experience of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), those who can display behaviours that challenge, and individuals who are vulnerable or disadvantaged. We’re looking for a passionate, patient and proactive full-time Key Worker / Youth Worker to join our team. This combined role blends daytime education support with evening youth work delivery, offering variety and the chance to make a real impact across our projects. Hours & Structure This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) : Up to 30 hours per week supporting young people during the daytime as part of our Alternative Provision service (9-3PM). The remaining hours will include attending team meetings and working two evenings per week in our youth clubs (4PM onwards), helping to run inclusive, fun and engaging sessions for local young people. What you’ll do: Provide 1:1 support for young people unable to attend full-time education, following tailored plans and recording progress. Facilitate youth and community sessions, encouraging participation, creativity and inclusion. Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and families. Plan and deliver structured, purposeful activities within set budgets. Record progress daily on Tapestry and CPOMS, and contribute to team reviews and meetings. Knowledge or experience of Autism, SEND or behaviours that challenge. Calm, consistent and resilient approach to challenging situations. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
