The Post: In order to improve coordination of the increasing demand from Health Boards and the Scottish Government, NSS Digital and Security are seeking to recruit a Senior Programme Manager. This role will manage a delivery team of Programme and Project Managers and will be responsible for managing two portfolios of programmes delivering Digital Solutions in Support of digital services to NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with senior stakeholders, and roles across Digital and Security to plan and implement key national products and innovative solutions. The Candidate: Applications are invited from individuals who have programme and portfolio management experience to coordinate and manage programmes delivering national platforms and technology implementations. This will include supporting strategic planning, senior stakeholder engagement, communications, team development, training and leading improvement initiatives. You should be educated to Degree level with experience of Project management methodologies – Agile/Prince2/DevOps. Substantial experience in Digital roles. In particular, digital delivery, digital Project Management, service design and change management. Experience of leadership and developing and leading teams with line management experience. Influencing, negotiating and mediation skills. In particular, experience of dealing directly with directors, clinical & senior NHS staff. Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Location and Working Pattern: These posts will be based in our offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Currently hybrid working. Work pattern Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
