Role:
1. Responsible for above-threshold strategic procurement projects in line with the Public Contracts Regulations
2. Contract and supplier relationship management
3. Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement process
4. Liaise with stakeholders of all levels on a regular basis to ensure that procurement plans are in place and adhered to
5. Provide specialist procurement advice to a range of stakeholders
6. Keep up to date and track market intelligence in order to implement best procurement practice
7. Manage a small team, providing support and regular 1 to 1s
8. Deputise for the Head of Procurement when required
9. Work across several different category areas
The Person:
10. End to end tendering experience
11. Strong understanding of Public Contract Regulations
12. Previous experience working in the Public Sector
13. Experience of either managing staff or a project team
14. Great IT, written and verbal communication skills
