About the Job This role is central to the finance function, responsible for ensuring accurate payroll delivery and supporting month-end accounts processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will manage key financial tasks while maintaining high standards of compliance and efficiency. Duties will include: Processing payroll accurately and in line with statutory deadlines Preparing monthly management accounts up to trial balance, including variance analysis Completing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting requirements Managing purchase and sales ledger activities as required Supporting the Finance Manager with financial reporting and process improvements Liaising with staff, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve queries Your Skills & Experience Accounting Technician qualification (ATI/AAT) plus at least 2 years experience, or 5 years finance experience in a similar role Proven experience in payroll processing and accounts preparation Strong knowledge of reconciliations and management accounts Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-focused approach For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Oliver Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
