About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to help create engaging learning experiences for our web app and a soon-to-be-announced project. Leveraging your expertise in AI-enabled engineering, you will champion all development work from concept stage through to feature completion. You’ll gain a deep understanding of Create Academy’s customers and use this insight to drive technical excellence and communicate that process and thinking to the founders and wider product team.
Tech Stack
* Current: Rails 8.1 hotwire + Sanity. Mux for video
* Flexibility: Youll work closely with the CTO to evolve the architecture
o iPhone app if interested
Required Experience
* 4+ years Ruby on Rails production experience
* Full-stack development
* PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, background jobs (good_job)
* Payment systems (Stripe)
* Team leadership and architectural decision-making
* Bonus - Mux or video, saas
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical direction and architecture decisions
* Own the entire codebase as the primary developer
* Implement new features while improving existing code
* Work with UX, design and growth teams

Please note this is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in office attendance in London, UK.
