We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist, interested in expanding their clinical skills and experience working within North East Essex Community Mental Health provision for adults in Colchester.
You will be working as part of a small friendly Occupational therapy team embedded within the wider MDT of the Colchester Specialist Community Mental Health Team. You will work as a core member of the MDT undertaking both shared and OT specific functions.
Main duties of the job
Working within this busy team environment you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of OT specific and shared clinical skills; including but not limited to undertaking OT assessments, care planning, delivering interventions - facilitating groups and individual sessions, Care coordination, Risks assessment and management, Assessment of clients social care needs under the Care Act and being part of the duty rota, Providing education and skill sharing with MDT colleagues and the supervision and appraisal of junior staff.
The post holder will have access to professional supervision and leadership within the team and across the Trust, and support in accessing relevant development opportunities.
