Overview of Department/Section
The role of MUFG Technology Resilience is to ensure that critical business services' underlying processes, systems and applications are resilient and can, where possible, continue to be provided to service users even in the event of disruption.
Main Purpose of The Role
The Digital Operational Resilience Act 2022/2554 ('DORA') provides a regulatory framework for participants within the financial sector to adequately prevent, respond and recover from cyber disruptions through a homogenous digital operational resilience strategy. The focus of DORA is specifically in relation to ICT-related risks and disruption and ensuring digital operational resilience.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with experience of Anomalous Activity Detection and Systems Monitoring with a strong focus on ensuring resilience in line with regulation including DORA and Operational Resilience (SS1-21). This role is critical to strengthening our organisation's operational resilience by ensuring that the correct level of monitoring is in place to highlight and mitigate potential system outages in a timely fashion to minimise potential disruptions.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT processes, controls, and practices align with regulatory requirements, helping safeguard our digital platform and maintain compliance across all IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing workshops to identify Anomalous Activity Detection and Systems Monitoring gaps
* Mapping of Critical and Important Functions/Important Business Services to existing Systems Monitoring configurations
* Developing plans to uplift monitoring to meet required regulatory standards
* Updating policies, procedures and standards to align with future state where required
* Collaborating with Tooling developers to ensure that Anomalous Activity and Systems Monitoring requirements are covered
* Review of Regulatory Technical Standards and Implementation Technical Standards and subsequent comparison/modification to current requirements
* Developing and/or uplifting reporting templates to meet DORA regulatory requirements
Skills / Experience
The role holder will ideally have 5+ years of experience supporting financial institution(s) to deliver regulatory initiatives in the capacity of a Business Analyst.
* Demonstratable evidence of working on similar operational resilience projects or regulatory compliance programmes within the financial sector
* Knowledge and general understanding of EU DORA Act
* Knowledge of ICT Related Systems Monitoring processes and controls, in particular Cyber Anomalous Activity detection
* Knowledge of EBA, PRA, ESMA regulation and Operational Resilience regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of ITIL and ServiceNow
* Degree educated and / or equivalent experience.
