Pay Rate: £145 – £245+ per day (depending on experience)

Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Teacher ready to step into classrooms and support pupils’ learning across a variety of subjects?
GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Cover Teacher to join schools in Sutton in Ashfield. This role offers you the chance to deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom learning, and provide continuity for pupils when their usual teacher is unavailable.
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver set lessons across different subjects and key stages, ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused. You will promote a positive learning environment, support classroom behaviour, and help students continue to progress during teacher absences.
As a Cover Teacher, you will:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
* Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
* Support pupils to stay engaged and achieve learning objectives.
* Adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Cover Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working in schools, ideally across multiple subjects or key stages.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Confidence to adapt to different teaching environments.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
