About the Role
Gloucester Guildhall operates seven days a week, with opening hours that can extend from 8:30am until midnight or beyond. The Food & Drink Shift Leader works alongside casual and agency staff, providing leadership, direction, and hands‑on support. Responsibilities include ensuring the safe and compliant sale of alcohol across the bars, overseeing food preparation and service within the catering offer, and delivering a high quality visitor experience across a wide range of activities – from corporate catering to cinema audiences and large live events.
About you
The successful candidate will be dynamic, motivated and able to lead a shift, maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency, and adapt quickly to changing situations. The role requires confidence, pro‑activity, initiative, and an energy that inspires the team. Annualised hours mean that flexibility is essential; weekly hours may vary to meet the programme of events.
