The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for engineering related to the manufacturing process. You will develop an operational plan for your manufacturing activities. Your role includes improving products, implementing design changes, and enhancing processes and procedures using lean methodologies.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Developing manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction and production tools
* Supporting the Shop Floor in troubleshooting (e.g., PCBA fault finding); disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (e.g., Rework/Return to Vendor/Scrap)
* Creating/Updating Manufacturing Documentation (Assembly/Test Instructions)
* Supporting the Shop Floor in reducing the Standard Cost and Lead Time of a product
* Applying statistical analysis to identify trends and cause-and-effect relationships
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have demonstrable experience in a Manufacturing or Production Engineering role, including providing Shop Floor support
* Be able to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions, fault find down to component level as required
* Have experience of DOE testing to determine the factors affecting inputs and outputs
* Possess some Lean Manufacturing experience, ideally using Six Sigma or Shainin
* Have IPC Class III inspection
