Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Monthly Car Allowance + Mobile Phone + Laptop etc.

As a leading courier service along the M62 corridor and throughout the North West with aggressive expansion plans, we specialise in home deliveries, large parcel delivery plus bulk collections & deliveries. We are now recruiting a Regional Manager to replace our colleague who has been promoted internally to manage a new and exciting contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, people‑focused logistics business and play a key role in maintaining the high standards that set us apart.


About the Role

As Regional Manager, you will oversee operational compliance, performance standards, and service delivery across multiple parcel delivery sites in the region. You will be the guardian of our standards, conducting audits, supporting site teams, managing vehicle and driver compliance, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

* Lead compliance and governance across multiple delivery sites, ensuring adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant legislation.
* Plan and optimise delivery routes to maximise efficiency, service levels, and profitability.
* Review and merge tours/routes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
* Analyse route performance data to identify opportunities for productivity and network efficiency gains.
* Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc site audits covering driver documentation, training, vehicle standards, and operational procedures.
* Deliver hands‑on guidance and support to site managers and teams, particularly during periods of pressure or disruption.
* Oversee driver onboarding, training, performance standards, and management.
* Manage site managers and lead drivers responsible for smaller operational teams.
* Manage vehicle compliance, fleet standards, servicing, and defect reporting.
* Leed investigations into incidents, complaints, and compliance issues, implementing effective remedial actions.
* Monitor fuel usage, identified anomalies, and drove fraud prevention and cost-reduction initiatives.
* Produce clear compliance and performance reports, analysed regional trends, and championed continuous improvement.
* Maintain strong communication with suppliers, drivers, and operational partners across multiple channels.
* Monitor and resolve operational issues in real time to ensure rapid response and service continuity.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with external suppliers and internal teams to uphold service standards.
* Coordinate daily route and resource planning across multiple sites to ensure full operational coverage.
* Manage short-notice changes including sickness, holidays, vehicle issues, and staffing shortages.
* Serve as the primary operational contact for drivers and site teams, providing ongoing support and issue resolution.
* Ensure routes were appropriately staffed and balanced to maintain service levels and efficiency.


What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in a similar multi-site operational or compliance role within logistics, courier, transport, or a regulated service industry.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety, driver management, vehicle compliance, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent auditing, investigation, and reporting skills with a solutions‑focused mindset.
* The ability to build & maintain strong working relationships, influence at all levels, and drive performance.
* Be professional and able to develop relationships to gain the best performance from your team regardless of personal likes or dislikes.
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to work flexibly with regular travel across the region.
