Senior/Principal Civil Engineer

A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking bright, enthusiastic, and open-minded individuals to join its growing Drainage Infrastructure team in Cardiff. Working within a dynamic environment and supported by senior leadership, the successful candidates will play a key role in delivering civil engineering design across a range of challenging infrastructure projects, with a focus on Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) and conventional surface water drainage design.

Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience in surface and foul water design and/or construction in line with Sewers for Adoption and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Professionally qualified, or nearing qualification, with ICE or CIWEM
Strong capability in 3D design and modelling software including MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk ICM
Experience with Water Authority approval processes including S104 and S106
Knowledge of SuDS Approval Body (SAB) processes
Understanding of planning policy and infrastructure design requirements related to flood risk management
Ability to lead and support teams with varying levels of experience
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and prioritising deliverables effectively
Strong stakeholder management skills, including liaison with statutory bodies such as Natural Resources Wales and the Environment AgencyBenefits
