About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community starting September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored, high-quality teaching to pupils with a wide range of SEN needs.
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.
Promote positive behaviour and social skills development in line with school policies.
Work closely with teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Contribute to the school’s SEND strategy and participate in staff training and development.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record in SEN teaching.
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
Experience working with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative working.
Patience, empathy, and passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
