Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Organiser to provide engaging and meaningful activities for residents in our care home. This position is a BANK/Maternity Cover role, to cover duties as and when required, so flexibility throughout the week, maybe during school hours would be ideal. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, particularly those living with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Duties
* Plan, organise, and implement a variety of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
* Facilitate group and individual activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being.
* Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are aligned with residents' care plans and preferences.
* Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback on activities to continually improve offerings.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
* Assist in the development of special events and themed days that encourage community involvement.
Requirements
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is essential.
* Knowledge of dementia care practices and experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents and their families.
* A caring attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Creativity and enthusiasm for planning activities that enhance residents' quality of life.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
