EduTalent Group is delighted to be working in with a well-established education establishment to recruit a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor on a maternity cover basis.
As an HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within the Human Resources team, supporting the smooth running of the department and contributing to a positive employee experience. You will provide expert HR advice to staff and support line managers with employee relations matters such as absences and performance management. Your role will also involve generating reports and data analysis, taking notes at hearings, managing staff probations, and ensuring HR policies remain compliant.
Working closely with the Head of HR and wider teams, you will maintain accurate employee records using the iTrent HR system, audit the Single Central Register of Appointments, respond to general HR queries, and assist with the preparation of salary letters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional HR advice and support to staff and managers on employee relations issues
Manage staff probation processes and support performance management
Take accurate notes during hearings and disciplinary meetings
Generate and analyse HR reports and data to inform decision-making
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using the iTrent system
Audit the Single Central Register of Appointments regularly
Respond to general HR queries promptly and efficiently
Ensure HR policies are compliant with current employment legislation
Support the preparation and issuing of salary letters
Requirements
Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR role
Strong knowledge of employment law and best HR practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organisational abilities with great attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficient in HR systems, preferably iTrent, and MS Office applications
Confident in supporting managers and staff through change and complex employee relations matters
* Competitive salary of £30,000-£31,000 per annum
Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Fixed-term contract covering maternity leave starting in July
