At Rolls-Royce SMR, we utilise a competency framework to streamline our recruitment process. This framework groups together the key areas of responsibility and competence required for each job role, helping to define the essential attributes and capabilities needed for effective performance. To refine your requirements, focus on five key areas of responsibility and competence. Group these under suitable summaries or headlines and include all elements necessary for successful performance in each area. Each headline could encompass four or five points from a traditional job description. Be specific and detailed. Each area is weighted to reflect its relative importance to the role. This ensures that the most critical competencies are given appropriate emphasis during the recruitment process The Required Mastery Level indicates the minimum level of skill and experience we ideally seek in a candidate for each competency area. This helps ensure that candidates possess the necessary expertise to perform effectively in the role.
