Job Summary
WSP is recruiting graduates for our Building Specialists teams, specifically in Fire Engineering, based in London & Guildford. As a Graduate, you will work on innovative projects, gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams, and develop specialist knowledge in fire safety.
Location & Services
* Fire Engineering – London & Guildford
Key Responsibilities
* Produce fire strategy reports for proposed and existing buildings.
* Write technical design notes.
* Mark up architectural drawings to outline fire strategy elements.
* Review existing documentation related to fire safety.
* Participate in design team meetings with internal and external disciplines, including site visits.
* Respond to fire‑related queries from other disciplines such as IT & Security, facades, MEP, structures, architects.
Graduate Development Programme
The two‑year programme offers blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and on‑the‑job experience.
Qualifications
* Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a Master’s degree in Fire, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or Physics.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
* Understanding of engineering or construction design processes.
* Passion for fire safety and curiosity about new technologies.
* Ability to solve problems creatively and propose new ideas.
* Available to start work in September 2026.
