Culture and Events Development Officer

17.79 per hour

37 hours per week - must be available to work Monday - Wednesday and Saturday & Sunday

Temporary - until end of September

Central Bristol - fully office based

Tate are working with a local authority in their search for a Culture and Events Development Officer on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver a range of markets and other cultural activities to support a local market.
* Work with individuals, culture and event organisations, businesses and other high street stakeholders to animate and generate footfall at the market.
* Support the development of the city's recovery plans to re-animate the city centre and high streets, providing opportunities for everyone to participate.
* Provide professional guidance, advice, advocacy and support to individuals, groups and organisations to enable the delivery of cultural activities and events.
* Monitoring and reporting of funding allocations and projects

You will be responsible for ensuring that the culture and event activities developed meet the following aims:


* Create local distinctiveness and activate and animate the selected high streets through a programme of activities
* Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders.
* Invest in the culture and events sector.
* Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities.
