Role Description
This is a full or part time role including Saturdays for an Optometrist predominently based in our Greenwich store but also able to work in our Bromley & Beckenham stores. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye examinations, diagnosing and treating vision problems, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and providing guidance on eye care and health. As a professional staff member your knowledge is invaluable in overseeing the team and supporting in training staff. You will help with driving the stores working closely alongside Managers.
Each store is equipped with autorefractors, OCTs with longer appointment times to allow for comfortable testing and patient discussion.
Qualifications
* Strong clinical skills in conducting eye examinations and diagnosing vision problems
* Experienced in prescribing glasses and contact lenses
* Knowledge of dispensing options and various lens options to best suit the patient
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* GOC registered, UK resident
* Preferably MECs registered for SE London but not essential
* Qualified for a minimum of 2 years
* Longer testing appointments up to 45 minutes
* OCT available and offered with standard eye tests
* Shorter working day with 10am start
* Free annual spectacle allowance
* 60-65K (pro rata) based on experience
