A specialist setting in Outer London is looking for a passionate and creative SEN Class Teacher to take on a key middle leadership role, overseeing the Personal Social Development (PSD) strand of the curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the area of personal growth, independence and life skills for pupils with a diverse range of complex needs. Requirements The Role: You’ll lead a class of pupils with complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism and associated behaviours, delivering engaging and differentiated learning. Alongside this, you'll be the whole-school lead for PSD – designing and embedding real-life skills, personal responsibility, and wellbeing into the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes. Embedding strategies for communication, sensory processing, and behavioural regulation. Leading on PSD curriculum planning, enrichment, and cross-school development. Supporting staff in delivering PSD and modelling best practice. What We're Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with solid SEN classroom experience. Knowledge of SLD, ASD, and complex communication needs. Familiarity with tools like PECS, AAC, and sensory integration strategies.
