This salaried GP role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. The GP will manage a varied clinical caseload, contribute to continuity of care, and work closely with professionals such as clinical pharmacists & physicians assistants to ensure safe, efficient, and holistic patient management.

Main duties of the job
The salaried GP will carry out core GP work including clinical patient care, continuity and coordination of care, preventive and population health work, clinical administration, quality and safety, teamworking and learning.

The Gade & ChorleywoodHealth Centres, with around 20,000 patients, consists of 2 recently mergedsurgeries which are based across 3 sites in Rickmansworth & Chorleywood.There are 6 partners, 8 salaried GP's and several nurses, HCA's, Phlebotomists& Clinical Pharmacists plus a Physician Assistant. We also have around 32administrative and reception staff and as a training practice we regularly haveGP's in training working with us.
Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. Theremay be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitledpopulation
The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long-term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, includingreferrals, repeat prescription requests, insurance plus otheradministrative reports and other associated administrative tasks
On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctorroles
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with goodpractice, policy and guidance
Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practiceworkload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelinesand the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practice
Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) orthe QOF
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings asrequired
Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of thepractice including clinical governance and training
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare and complete the revalidation process
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuingprofessional development across the practice team
Support the training of medical students from all clinicaldisciplines
Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of thepractice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduceexpenditure
Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies
Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staffregularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Arequirement to undertake home visits.
Participate in practice audits asrequested by the audit lead
Participate in local initiatives toenhance service delivery and patient care
Participate in the review ofsignificant and near-miss events applying a structured approach i.e., rootcause analysis (RCA)

Qualifications
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
* Full GMC registration
* National Performers List registration
* Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Experience of working in a primary care environment
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit
* General understanding of the GMS contract
* Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
