Wyre Forest District Council is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Officer to provide general office, administration and business support in the Planning Services team within Strategic Growth. Technical Support Officer Responsibilities include; Provide dedicated technical support and manage information and data and related systems in support of the professional functions in Strategic Growth. Provide comprehensive support including registration of tree, planning and enforcement cases, fee checking and validation. Plot information in relation to applications on GIS systems. Maintain and update data, statistics and documentation. Maintain web-site information. To be successful in this role you will have; 5 GCSEs (4 and above) including in Maths and English Business Administration or relevant equivalent qualification. Able to complete work to a high standard of accuracy and presentation Ability to work independently, as part of a team, flexibly, to tight deadlines and under pressure. Ability to interrogate computer systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills Confident spoken and written use of English Language Proven experience of working in a technical/support capacity in a customer driven environment Proven ability of using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel Spreadsheets Excellent time management Additional Information The post is open to hybrid working. Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
