Role Overview
As a Lecturer in Chemistry, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment across a range of academic levels. This may include delivery within our High School provision (ages 14-16) as well as further & higher education programmes.
Responsibilities
* Planning, preparing & delivering high-quality lessons in line with the SOLAR (Scheme of Learning and Reflection) or, for Higher Education provision, the relevant Module Guide
* Producing detailed lesson plans & learning materials that meet curriculum & awarding body requirements
* Acting as a Personal Tutor, supporting students' academic progress & wellbeing
* Organising & managing all aspects of the programmes you deliver, including assessment, marking & feedback
* Contributing to quality assurance & continuous improvement processes
* Inspiring, motivating & challenging learners to achieve their best
* Actively promoting & developing the Science curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice & student experience across the wider Science team

You will be an enthusiastic & committed educator with strong subject knowledge in Chemistry & a learner‑centred approach. You will be organised, adaptable & confident teaching across a range of levels, with a genuine passion for supporting student success.
