About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care across our homes, delivering personalised care that respects each resident’s dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure care plans are truly individual. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and help maintain the highest standards of care, guiding others with kindness. You will work with a Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through activities, and you may administer medication as part of your duties. This is a full-time vacancy of 46 hours per week covering both days and nights.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain high standards of care.
* Plan and implement care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence.
* Get to know residents and families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication when required.
* Maintain accurate records of the care you provide and foster strong team collaboration.
Qualifications
* Ideally, a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong positive energy and the ability to get on with people.
* Good record keeping, time management, and thoughtful communication with residents and colleagues.
